Product Introduction:
Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) is an organic compound appearing as a colorless or dark yellow oily liquid. It is miscible with water and alcohol, slightly soluble in ether. It is primarily used as an emulsifier, acid gas absorbent, pH control agent, and polyurethane foam catalyst.
Applications:
Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) is widely used in the desulfurization and purification of natural gas and coal gas as an emulsifier, acid gas absorbent, pH control agent, and polyurethane foam catalyst. With the addition of activators, it can remove carbon dioxide from synthetic ammonia, making it increasingly popular for carbon dioxide absorption in flue gas treatment in recent years.
Additionally, MDEA can serve as an intermediate for insecticides, emulsifiers, and textile auxiliaries, a catalyst for polyurethane coatings, a fiber processing aid, and a drying accelerator in paints.
