Product Introduction:
Isopropanol (IPA), also known as dimethyl carbinol or 2-propanol, is an important organic compound and an isomer of n-propanol. It is widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.

Product Applications:
1. Chemical Raw Material:
Isopropanol can be used to produce acetone, hydrogen peroxide, methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), diisobutyl ketone, isopropylamine, isopropyl ether, isopropyl chloride, fatty acid isopropyl esters, and chlorinated fatty acid isopropyl esters. In fine chemicals, it is used to synthesize isopropyl nitrate, isopropyl xanthate, triisopropyl phosphite, aluminum isopropoxide, as well as pharmaceuticals and pesticides. It can also produce diisopropyl ketone, isopropyl acetate, thymol, and gasoline additives.

2. Solvent:
As a cost-effective industrial solvent, isopropanol is highly versatile. It is miscible with water and exhibits stronger solvency for lipophilic substances compared to ethanol. It serves as a solvent for nitrocellulose, rubber, coatings, shellac, and alkaloids. It is used in the production of paints, inks, extractants, and aerosol agents. Additionally, it functions as an antifreeze, cleaning agent, gasoline additive, pigment dispersant, fixing agent in the textile industry, anti-fogging agent for glass and transparent plastics, and as a diluent for adhesives. It is also utilized in antifreeze formulations and as a dehydrating agent.

3. Chromatography Reference Standard:
Isopropanol is used as a standard in chromatographic analysis for the determination of barium, calcium, copper, magnesium, nickel, potassium, sodium, strontium, nitrite, cobalt, and other elements.

4. Oil Cleaning Agent:
In the electronics industry, isopropanol is employed as a degreaser and cleaning agent for removing oil contaminants.

5. Degreasing Agent:
In the fats and oils industry, it serves as an extraction solvent for cottonseed oil and is also used for degreasing animal-derived tissue membranes.
