Berol 561 is a high-performance auxiliary surfactant that enhances the overall effectiveness of cleaning formulations. As a versatile co-surfactant, it delivers excellent solubilizing properties and aids in grease removal even at very low concentrations. From household cleaning to industrial degreasing, Berol 561’s unique chemical properties improve cleaning formulations in multiple ways.

Compared to conventional multi-purpose cleaners, formulations combining Berol 561 with narrowly distributed ethoxylated alcohols demonstrate superior performance in removing heavy grease. Moreover, it maintains strong cleaning and degreasing efficacy even in diluted applications.

In cleaning tests involving train engine oil, traditional solubilizers like SXS or SCS showed no cleaning effect, whereas Berol 561 significantly enhanced the degreasing capability of nonionic surfactants. Additionally, even at low concentrations, Berol 561 can adjust the cloud point of formulations to better meet specific cleaning temperature requirements.

Nouryon 561 is suitable for alkaline formulations and is compatible with 2-4% NaOH or KOH.

Compatible with various chelating agents in cleaning formulations.
