Product Introduction:
D-Panthenol, also known as provitamin B5, is the dextrorotatory isomer of panthenol. When absorbed by the body, it converts into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which is essential for synthesizing coenzyme A—a key factor in the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. It helps maintain healthy skin mucosa and hair luster, while a deficiency may lead to skin disorders and physiological dysfunctions.
Pantothenic acid contributes to skin hydration and anti-aging, promotes normal skin keratinization, accelerates wound healing, and exhibits anti-inflammatory effects. However, since pantothenic acid is unstable under heat, alkali, and acidic conditions, panthenol (D-panthenol) is commonly used in cosmetics instead.
