Product Name: Sodium Methyl Lauroyl Taurate
Also Known As: Sodium N-Lauroyl-N-methyltaurinate
CAS No.: 4337-75-1
Molecular Formula: C₁₅H₂₈NNaO₄S
Product Introduction
Sodium Methyl Lauroyl Taurate is a high-grade anionic surfactant. It is the sodium salt derived from the condensation of naturally sourced lauric acid (from coconut oil) and N-methyl taurine. This acyl taurate structure is renowned as a signature ingredient in premium facial cleansers.
Gentleness: The bulky taurate head group containing a sulfonate group (-SO₃⁻) effectively minimizes penetration into and disruption of the skin's stratum corneum. This results in very low irritation to both the skin and eyes.
Foaming Properties: It produces a rich, fine, and stable lather, delivering a smooth and pleasant cleansing experience.
Hard Water Resistance: The sulfonate group makes it insensitive to hard water, allowing it to maintain excellent cleansing and foaming performance even in the presence of calcium and magnesium ions.
