Overview
The Lutensol AO series, developed by BASF, is a line of specialized nonionic surfactants. These products are synthesized from C13-C15 oxo alcohols and ethylene oxide, providing excellent degreasing, cleaning, and emulsifying performance.

Key Technical Advantage
This series offers a solution for low Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) requirements. All products in the line have a remarkably low critical micelle concentration (CMC) of less than 0.02 g/L. This means only minimal dosage is required to achieve effective emulsification and cleaning, thereby significantly contributing to lower COD levels in effluent.

Physical Properties
Lutensol AO5 is a cloudy, colorless liquid at 23°C. While it may exhibit a tendency to form precipitates at this temperature, it forms a clear solution at 50°C.

Primary Application
Lutensol AO5 functions as a high-efficiency synthetic fiber degreaser. It is commonly employed in processing fabrics such as polyester-spandex and polyamide-spandex blends.
