Product Introduction:

Sokalan CP88, an anionic surfactant, is a modified polycarboxylic acid polymer. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, it is typically used at a dosage of approximately 1%-2% in laundry detergent powders, where it is well-suited for application. In terms of functionality, it effectively enhances fabric care, making it highly suitable for use in laundry detergents.

Sokalan CP88 itself exhibits excellent dispersing properties, with an optimized charge density. In addition to laundry detergent powders, it is also applicable in liquid laundry detergents. Since liquid detergents generally do not contain conventional polycarboxylic acid ingredients, Sokalan CP88 serves as an effective dispersant in complex electrolyte systems, providing some anti-redeposition effects.

When used in liquid laundry detergents, Sokalan CP88 demonstrates superior performance in certain aspects compared to traditional P25. Beyond fabric care, Sokalan CP88 can also be utilized in other product categories, such as hard surface cleaners. For example, in dishwashing detergents—particularly those designed for dishwashers—which often contain higher levels of polymers and chelating agents to effectively control water hardness and prevent the deposition of inorganic salts and certain soils, Sokalan CP88 functions effectively as a dispersant. In dishwasher detergent formulations, it helps inhibit the formation of spotting or filming caused by inorganic salts, delivering noticeable results.

Sokalan CP88 exhibits strong adsorption onto charged pigments, fillers, and resins, forming an extremely thin, viscoelastic coating. This encapsulates pigment and binder particles, promoting flocculent settling in paints and preventing caking or hardening of settled pigments.
